ReferenceMS793
Date
c.1840 - c.1860
Creator Francis (1814-1876) Sibson
Production date 1840 - 1860
Scope and ContentMainly original water colour drawings by William Fairland, used to illustrate Sibson's 'Medical Anatomy, ... 1855-1869' and other papers. Some pre-1844: others c. 1850s-1860s. Various sizes from c. 7 × 6 cms to E F. See MS2002/4-5. Although similar to illustrations in Sibson's 'Medical Anatomy ... 1855-1869' and other works, the illustration numbers do not coincide with those in the printed works, and page numbers probably refer to the original papers and not the reprints held by RCP. See Autograph letter Thomas Hodgkin to Thomas Nunneley 2 August 1843 (ALS/H178).
Some drawings are signed by Fairland (e.g. MS793/259)
