Admin history: The Beveridge Committee was formed and called together by the presidents of the three Royal Colleges, composed of representatives of all teaching hospitals in England and Wales, all specialties, the three Royal Colleges and the consultant group of the British Medical Association. The presidents also set up a subcommittee of thirteen members, as the full committee contained around 80 members.
