- Scope and ContentLetters and reports sent to John Scott (Lord Eldon) outlining the king's condition and treatment during three episodes of illness, in 1801, 1804 and 1811. Scott had become Lord Chancellor in May 1801. Many of the letters have been lightly annotated by different hands over the years; for example, some have information about senders etc added in pen on the front of the letters (propbably in the later 19th century or early 20th century), and some have the words 'Omit' or 'Publish' written in pencil on the text side, with occasional other pencil annotations (probably in the 20th century).
