- Scope and ContentHalford seems to feel that the King took the news well regarding the arrangements that were necessary due to his incapacity (ultimately, the Prince of Wales taking over his duties during the Regency period). Halford also describes the King’s response to hearing the contents of his daughter Princess Amelia’s will as ‘reasonable’. She had left all her possessions to her boyfriend Charles FitzRoy. The King said he would do nothing to harm FitzRoy, but neither would he allow him to come to Windsor Castle again.
